To the members of the Point Clark Beach Association (PCBA):
The PCBA Board met for a Special Meeting (via conference call) yesterday (April 1) to discuss the current challenges presented to all of us with the COVID-19 pandemic and decisions made by the Township of Huron Kinloss on March 30 2020.
(For all information from Huron-Kinloss, check their webpage at https://www.huronkinloss.com/covid19.cfm)
As an organization, it is important to advocate on behalf of our membership (and Point Clark in general) when it comes to matters important to the community.
In light of the current situation, the Board has made the decision to extend the winter patrol into the month of April. Further decisions on the patrol will be made later in April.
Please keep in mind what the patrol entails — we have this outlined on our website at https://pcba.ca/winter-patrol.
We have also outreached to the Township to request a more regular presence and patrolling by the OPP. Staff at Huron-Kinloss have forwarded the request to the South Bruce OPP.
All of us will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates via our website and on Facebook. Where and when appropriate, we will continue to advocate on behalf of all our members.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us using the form on our website, located at https://pcba.ca/contact-us.
Finally, on behalf of the Board — all the best and keep safe.
ROBERT FOSTER
President, PCBA 2019-2021
