Winter Patrol 2024/2025
Summary of Patrol #8
Another winter storm took place Feb 17 – 19th resulting in more road closures and significant snowfall.
A patrol was conducted after the weather event. Large snow drifts were found on some properties, mainly off the lake. Overall, several homes were found with large ice build up on their roof under the snow (ice dams) or with significant snow built up around homes. Property owners with significant snow accumulation were notified with pictures.
Some smaller courts/streets were not plowed and was only accessible by foot (e.g. Albert Ct., Walpole Trail etc). Many people were removing snow from roofs around Point Clark.
Results of the patrol in summary:
- 14 courtesy emails were sent out about excessive snow accumulated on roofs or built up snow drifts surrounding/engulfing homes. Pictures were included of each home when the owners were notified
- 3 courtesy emails were sent out about exhaust vents or meters buried under snow. Snow was temporarily moved away from vents and pictures were sent to homeowners when they were notified.

No wind in the morning. then strong winds in the afternoon. Overcast but no precipitation.

It should be noted that for every incident, the patrollers identify the issue as best they can, take pictures, contact the owners, and, if requested, sends photos to the owners. All of the information is kept/saved both by the patroller and by the Association.
Incident #5
A gazebo for a property on Huron Road collapsed from excessive snow. The homeowners were called and left a voicemail. An email was sent to the homeowners with pictures.
