Summary of Patrol #6
This patrol was completed at the tail end of January. And as everyone knows, there was some very interesting weather happening in Point Clark at that time. The patrol was scheduled around the various weather events.

Weather conditions seen at time of patrol
There were considerable weather warnings issued during the patrol time. Bruce County winter continued in full swing.
- Yellow Watch – Snow Squall issued Jan 18-20 – Snow Squalls, expected Sunday (Jan 18) night thru Tuesday (Jan 20). Snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm with westerly wind gust of 70 to 80 km/h. In addition, cold wind chills between minus 20 & minus 25 are expected.
- Orange Warning – Blizzard issued Jan 19-20 – Blizzard Monday (Jan 19) continuing into Tuesday (Jan 20) with westerly winds gusting 70 to 90 km/h. Wind chills between minus 20 to minus 25 and snowfall accumulations of 20 to 40 cm are expected.
- Yellow Warning – Snowfall issued Jan 21 – Snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm expected Wednesday morning thru evening with wind gusts near 50 km/h.
- Yellow Warning – Snow Squall issued Jan 22-24 – Snow Squalls continue Thursday evening (Jan 22) thru Saturday morning (Jan 24). Additional snowfall amounts of 25 to 45 cm with strong wind gusts of 60 km/h.
- Yellow Warning – Cold issued Jan 23-24 – Bitterly cold conditions Friday (Jan 23) into Saturday morning (Jan 24) with wind chill values near minus 30 to minus 33 and brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
- Yellow Warning – Snow Squall issued Jan 26 – Snow squalls off Lake Huron expected Monday (Jan 26) with local snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm.
- Yellow Warning – Cold issued Jan 26-27 – Bitterly cold conditions expected Monday evening (Jan 26) into Tuesday morning (Jan 27) with wind chill values of minus 25 to minus 30 and brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
- Yellow Warning – Snow Squall issued Jan 27-28 – Snow squalls expected Tuesday (Jan 27) thru Wednesday (Jan 28) with local sownfall amounts of 30 to 50 cm and southwesterly winds becoming northwesterly gusting near 50 km.h.
- Yellow Warning – Cold issued Jan 27 – A period of very cold winds expected Tuesday morning (Jan 27) with wind chill values of minus 25 to minus 30 and brisk winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
- Yellow Warning – Snow Squall issued Jan 29 – Snow squalls continue off Lake Huron with additional local snowfall amounts of 10 to 25 cm.
- Yellow Warning – Cold issued Jan 29-30 – Frigid temperatures expected Thursday night into Friday morning (Jan 30) with wind chills fo minus 30 to minus 35.

It should be noted that for every incident, the patrollers identify the issue as best they can, take pictures, contact the owners, and, if requested, sends photos to the owners. All of the information is kept/saved both by the patroller and by the Association.
