Summary of Patrol #9
This patrol was completed the first two weeks of March. The weather certainly has changed, but it appears a bit of winter is still going to be with us.

Weather conditions seen at time of patrol
Interesting weather:
- Yellow Warning – Cold issued Mar 1-2 – A period of very cold wind chills is expected Sunday evening (Mar 1) continuing into Monday morning (Mar 2). Wind chill values of -25 to -30 expected.
- Yellow Warning – Rainfall issued Mar 7 – Rainfall amounts of 15 to 40 mm with locally higher amounts possible due to thunderstorms occuring Saturday (Mar 7).
- Yellow Advisory – Fog issued Mar 7 – Near zero visibilty in fog is expected this morning Saturday (Mar 7). Locally dense fog will dissipate this mornig (Mar 7) as winds become southwesterly.
- Special Weather Statement – Significant Rainfall issued Mar 9-11 – The saturated or frozen ground will have little ability to absorb this rainfall. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm with locally higher amounts possible in areas that receive thunderstorms Tuesday night (Mar 10) and lasting through Wednesday (Mar 11).
- Yellow Warning – Rainfall issued Mar 10-11 – The saturated or frozen ground will have little ability to absorb this rainfall. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm with locally higher amounts possible in areas that receive thunderstorms beginning Tuesday night (Mar 10) and lasting through Wednesday (Mar 11).
- Orange Warning – Rainfall issued Mar 11 – Rain, heavy at times is expected. The saturated or frozen ground will have little ability to absorb this rainfall. Additional rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm giving totals of 50 to 80 mm expected Wednesday morning (Mar 11) and lasting through the day.
